How to Create a Great Party
If you are hosting a murder mystery party, (not a boring murder mystery party) or are looking for a great way to get your party game out and about, here are some of the best ideas.
You are probably invited to a party where there is a lot of gossip and backbiting, filled with pleasantries and catty remarks. To make sure that this is fun, you send out your best guests. These might include a whole host of people who you know and like, people who would also love to play the game, and people who know each other well. Some of your guests could even be your enemies, so be careful who you invite.
After you have the whole party in mind, you need to create the environment. The way you spend the money, the kind of furniture and other accoutrements will all depend on the type of party you are trying to create. If you want to create an expensive, killer party, for example, you can budget well and go for the best quality of furniture. If you want a cheaper party, you can look for cheap party accoutrements. Or you can opt for the middle-of-the-road party, taking what you can afford and trying to make it as good as possible.
As the party gets bigger, it will get more difficult to create. You will need more and more space for the guests to socialise, to chat, to mingle. Maybe you need to buy a bigger party room, so everyone can fit in there.
Mobility is an important part of the games for the party goers.Mobility in general is a must for any large event.Mobility in games include danceability, and hence character value. If your dance game is a success, it buoys the audience, and draws more attention from them. If it is a failure, it leaves theaudience disappointed.
Similarly style of parties are also important. Too many costume options worn at once paralls the party environment. They may be surprised to find flesh all over the place. (This is like a horror game, only without the blood and guts.) Too many Suffering Crystals or Fantasy Sports items are generally discouraged. You need to create a festive air.
The music is an important highlight in parties. It can make or break a party. Choosing a great music set, and a good speaker will go a long way in the battle for your party's soul.
Be careful when you go big. When the whole family is getting together for a slumber party, you might want to keep it more private and mellow. There is no need to over-do the music, though. These days, house parties are more customary than ever.
So pick your party's location, your duration and your number of guests carefully. These will all depend on the type of party you are throwing, and the company you are hoping to bring into the occasion. Are you hoping to bring a bunch of friends over, or are you hoping to win a prize? You may want to go heavy to have just the right amount of people around, or you may want to keep it light enough for just one or two people. You may also want something in between. There is no wrong party size, just a necessary flexibility to match your number of guests. Party size and venue will decided by the number of people you want to bring. The main venues in most parties are sub lots within a larger venue. For example, a 750 ensemble party would require 1/3 of a larger place.
So set your sights on a place, a size of party and a occasion that will make you feel right at home. If you can, that's the best party you can have. It may not be quite the same as a one off event, but it's just as good.
